Manuka Natural Scabies Combo

What is scabies?

Scabies is a form of parasitic infestation that occurs when tiny mites called Sarcoptes Scabiei live on the outer layer of the skin. Once the mites have made contact they can then burrow and lays eggs leading to them quickly spreading over larger areas. This is how they become an infestation, which can look similar to an angry rash that is often itchy and irritating. As with other types of infections, scabies mites are spread by contact either with the skin itself or items that have come into contact with the skin.

This is because it is made from the manuka plant from the East Cape of New Zealand. The plants found in this remote area have been studied and it has been found that they contain the highest levels of the triketone compound which is what gives the plant its antibacterial properties. The oil made from these superior plants is then made using a steam distilled process using wild harvested manuka plants, resulting in a high-quality manuka oil that is then infused within the Manuka Naturals range of products.

Manuka Soap

Consisting of a specially crafted blend of natural ingredients, including a range of essential oils, Manuka Soap is a simple way to take care of your skin. The Manuka and Tea Tree Oil Blend has been specially formulated as a powerful combination of essential oils known for their antibacterial properties. After realising that researchers in Japan who were studying resistance to conventional scabies treatment found that New Zealand Manuka essential oil was effective against scabies mites at certain low concentrations, the team at Manuka Naturals created the Manuka and Tea Tree Oil Blend as a unique essential oil formula to naturally help with the irritation of scabies mites.

Manuka and Tea Tree Oil Cream

In a similar way as the Oil Blend, the Manuka and Tea Tree Cream has been designed to make use of the potential antibacterial properties of the essential oils, but in a more gentle and soothing way. In cream form, these oils can be calmer on the skin and with the addition of its other range of ingredients it makes a great way to help soothe, nourish and generally take care of the skin.

Manuka Soap: Sodium Palm Kernelate (Palm Oil, Palm Kernel Oil) ,Leptospermum Scoparium Oil (Manuka Oil), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Backhousia Citriodora Oil (Lemon Myrtle Oil), Titanium dioxide, Galactaric Acid, Citral (Lemongrass Oil fraction), Terpinen-4-ol (Tea tree Oil fraction), Cedrol (Cedarwood Oil fraction).

Manuka and Tea Tree Oil Blend: Pure East Cape manuka oil from New Zealand (10%) and Australian Tea Tree oil (5%) Sweet Almond oil, Lemon myrtle oil.

Manuka and Tea Tree Cream: Manuka Hydrosol, Sweet Almond oil, Manuka Oil, Tea Tree oil, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Emulsifier, TEA, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Lavender oil, Preservative.

How to use

The three products in this combo has been designed to work together and the order of use will depend on your skin's needs and routine. For each individual product though here is some information for their use:

Manuka Soap : Apply to wet skin and massage using circular motions. This is a natural soap and is gentle enough for everyday use.

Manuka and Tea Tree Oil Blend: Apply the oil blend topically 1-2 times daily to the desired areas. As it is an oil blend it is already mixed with other essential oils, however you can use vegetable oil if looking to spread over a wider area.

Manuka and Tea Tree Cream: Simply massage the gentle cream into the of skin as desired and allow it to be absorbed.
