Collagen is one of the most abundant proteins in the human body and is commonly found in the muscles, bones and skin. It is known to provide a foundation and thickness for the skin and is found in abundance in young skin. As we age however, the levels slowly drop resulting in ageing signs such as wrinkles and fine lines. When collagen breaks down due to age and environmental factors such as sunlight and pollution, short segments of amino acids are formed which are the tiny proteins and active molecules known as peptides. The collagen-like peptide have been recently increasing in popularity and are now of great interest in the field of anti-aging skin research as it has been shown how they can interact with the appearance of wrinkles and other ageing signs. Skinception: The science behind the beauty
The formula is based on the synergy of two main ingredients in order to help with fine lines, wrinkles and the appearance of ageing. These two key ingredients are Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8) and Hyaluronic acid which have become very popular in the world of high-end anti-ageing products.
Also known as Acetyl hexapeptide-8, Argireline is a peptide or a chain of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, used in cosmetic for its restoring and revitalising properties. It has water-binding features and research has shown that this peptide can penetrate further into the skin if specific formulary steps are followed, including the type of emulsion (a higher water content showed greater penetration). This occurs naturally in the body and contributes towards healthy, firm and plump looking skin. As we age though, the naturally occurring levels decrease in quantity which is why it can be beneficial for the skin to receive it through skincare. When applied to the skin it can help to moisturise and soothe the skin and help with the appearance of aging.

How to use
Simply take a small amount on your fingertips and tap or massage onto the desired areas of skin with a circular motion. If you apply too much you can easily remove the excess with a cotton swab. As it is perfectly safe for the skin you can apply it more than once a day. So it's great to use in the morning before you go about your day and then again in the evening before a big night out.
